9/24/2026

RUSAGRO-PRIM SRL maintains its leading position in rapeseed exports from the Republic of Moldova, continuing the strong performance recorded in the previous season.
During the first two months of the 2026–2027 season, the Republic of Moldova exported 191,080 tonnes of rapeseed, the second-highest volume recorded in the past five years for the July–August period.
RUSAGRO-PRIM Remains the Leading Rapeseed Exporter
With 52,114 tonnes exported, RUSAGRO-PRIM accounts for approximately 27% of Moldova’s total rapeseed exports, maintaining the leading position it also held in the previous season.
The company maintains a significant lead over the other major exporters. OROM-IMEXPO ranks second with 32,483 tonnes and a 17% market share, while VADALEX GRAINS ranks third with 22,889 tonnes and a 12% share.
These results confirm RUSAGRO-PRIM’s continued leading position in the rapeseed export market and its important role among the key players in Moldova’s grain and oilseed sector.
Rapeseed Export Price Rises by 15%
The beginning of the season has also been supported by favorable price dynamics. In July–August 2026, the average rapeseed export price reached MDL 10.36/kg, approximately 15% higher than the MDL 8.98/kg recorded during the same period of the previous season.

Overall, rapeseed exports generated nearly MDL 1.98 billion, with higher prices offsetting a significant part of the decline in export volumes.
Romania Accounts for 93% of Exports
Romania remains the main destination for Moldovan rapeseed, purchasing 177,620 tonnes, equivalent to 93% of the total exported volume.
Other key destinations included Bulgaria – 6,872 tonnes (3.6%), Greece – 3,669 tonnes, and the Czech Republic – 2,467 tonnes.

With 52,114 tonnes exported and a 27% market share, RUSAGRO-PRIM starts the 2026–2027 season in the same leading position in Moldova’s rapeseed export market that it held in the previous season, further strengthening its presence in one of the country’s most important agricultural export segments.
