The Rusagro group makes significant efforts to minimize the impact of its activities on the environment by implementing environmental safety standards and establishing strict internal requirements for infrastructure operation. We use internal and external resources to identify opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and implement solutions based on principles of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
We pay special attention to the transition to solar energy use. At a number of the group's facilities, including Cereale Cupcini and Rusagro-Terminal elevators, solar photovoltaic panels have been implemented, covering a significant part of electricity needs. This allows reducing the load on traditional energy sources and reducing indirect greenhouse gas emissions, making infrastructure operation more climate-resilient.

At most of the group's facilities, including Cereale Cupcini, Rusagro-Terminal, Grain Terminal, and Crown elevators, solar photovoltaic panels have been implemented, covering a significant part of electricity needs.
Rusagro elevators and terminals are being modernized in stages:
- modern drying and cleaning equipment with increased energy efficiency is being installed;
- technological solutions aimed at reducing grain losses during storage and transshipment are being implemented;
- energy-saving systems and, where possible, renewable energy sources (including photovoltaic panels) are being used;
In 2023, the Rusagro group initiated a large-scale project to restore green spaces affected by natural disasters in northern Moldova. Within this initiative, more than 1000 mature trees were planted, contributing to ecosystem restoration and urban environment quality improvement.
