The company 'RUSAGRO-PRIM' SRL continues to be the largest player in the market, with 45,361 tons of barley exported in 2024. Although the quantity is lower than the 64,958 tons exported in 2023, the company maintains its dominant position, notes agro-market expert Iurie Rija.

A relatively new aspect in 2024 is the direct entry into second place of the company 'VADALEX GRAINS', which did not export rapeseed in previous years but managed to reach a volume of 23,809 tons.

“This demonstrates a shift in the company's market strategies. Another aspect is the decrease in the quantities of rapeseed exported by the company 'OROM-IMEXPO' SRL, which in 2023 was the second-largest exporter with 34,400 tons, but in 2024 dropped to 8,860 tons, falling to fifth position,” the expert further states.

A sharp decrease was also recorded in the case of the company 'LIMBURG' S.R.L., which in 2023 had exported 17,556 tons, but in 2024 delivered only 5,035 tons, representing a reduction of 71%. This company, which in 2023 was among the main exporters, has now dropped towards the middle of the ranking.

In addition to the general decline in exports, 2024 was marked by a diversification of the companies active in this sector. For example, the Transnistrian holding 'GRANDO INVEST TRADING' S.R.L. recorded an increase, exporting 17,527 tons compared to 12,659 tons in 2023. The company SRL 'ANCOM-AGRO' also managed to maintain a solid position with 13,691 tons.
